How to reach us
Visitors to Chemspec Europe 2025 should enter the venue through Entrance East. From there, simply follow the signs to Entrance West, where our main entrance and registration area are located.
By Train
Koelnmesse can be quickly reached by trains from many cities in Germany and abroad. The Köln Messe/Deutz station is located directly next to the exhibition grounds. Visit the Deutsche Bahn website to enquire about connections and book tickets online.

Parking
Follow the signs to the designated exhibitor and visitor car parks. The car parks are connected to the entrances. For further assistance the NUNAV Navigation app guides you directly to the free trade fair parking space.
By Plane
Cologne Bonn Airport is located around 15 minutes away by car and 30 minutes away by public transport. Taxis are available at the airport on the arrivals level in front of the building. Find out more information about transportation from the airport here.
By Public Transport
Here are some options if you’re looking to take public transport to the venue:
1. From Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) to Köln Messe/Deutz:
S-Bahn (Suburban Train): You can take the S6, S11, S12, or S13 from Köln Hauptbahnhof (Cologne Central Station) to Köln Messe/Deutz. The journey takes approximately 4-5 minutes.
2. From Cologne Bonn Airport (Flughafen Köln/Bonn) to Köln Messe/Deutz:
S-Bahn (S19 or S13): Take the S13 or S19 from Cologne Bonn Airport (Flughafen Köln/Bonn) to Köln Messe/Deutz. The journey takes around 15-20 minutes.
3. From Deutzer Freiheit (U-Bahn station) to Köln Messe/Deutz:
If you are coming from the Deutzer Freiheit area, you can take the U-Bahn (subway) lines U1, U9, or U18 to Köln Messe/Deutz station. The journey takes around 2-3 minutes.
4. Directions Walking from Köln Messe/Deutz to Koelnmesse:
The walk from the Köln Messe/Deutz station to the Koelnmesse exhibition halls is about 5-10 minutes, following signs for the exhibition center.
Visa Information
We recommend initiating your visa arrangements well in advance to ensure you obtain your visa before the start of the exhibition. Applications can be made as early as six months before the time of travel.

Need an invitation letter?
The German Foreign Office has informed the German Embassy and Consulate Visa Sections all over the world that, effective 24 July 2013, an official invitation letter from the trade fair organiser is no longer required when applying for a trade fair visa. Furthermore, foreign exhibitors at German trade fairs who present an official exhibitor pass are exempt from the visa fee.
